Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Rogue Chat collects, uses, shares, and deletes information when you use the service, including through WhatsApp.
Last updated: May 20, 2026
Information we collect
When you use Rogue Chat through WhatsApp, we collect the information needed to provide the service. This can include your WhatsApp phone number, WhatsApp display name, message content, image captions or image media identifiers, button interactions, delivery status, timestamps, and technical webhook payloads received from Meta.
We also store conversation session state, generated assistant responses, processing status, error details, delivery attempts, model name, token counts, latency, and estimated processing cost so we can operate, debug, and improve the service.
How we use information
We use this information to receive your WhatsApp messages, generate AI responses, send replies, preserve recent conversation context, prevent duplicate processing, handle reset requests, monitor reliability, secure the service, and respond to support or deletion requests.
Rogue Chat is currently a closed beta. We use WhatsApp account access only to provide the messaging experience to approved users and to operate the connected WhatsApp integration.
AI processing
Your messages and recent conversation context may be sent to OpenAI to generate assistant replies. If you send an image, the image content may also be sent to OpenAI so the assistant can respond to it.
We do not sell your messages. We do not use your WhatsApp conversations for advertising.
Sharing
We share information with service providers only as needed to run Rogue Chat. These providers may include Meta/WhatsApp for messaging delivery, OpenAI for AI response generation, AWS for queue and infrastructure services, and database or hosting providers used to operate the application.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the security and integrity of the service, or to enforce applicable terms.
Retention
We retain WhatsApp account identifiers, conversation records, webhook records, delivery records, and operational logs for as long as needed to provide Rogue Chat, maintain conversation context, troubleshoot issues, meet legal obligations, and protect the service.
You can ask us to delete your Rogue Chat data at any time using the contact instructions below.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information we process. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we limit access to production systems and use signed webhook verification for Meta webhook traffic.
Your choices
You can stop using Rogue Chat by no longer messaging the service on WhatsApp. You can also request access, correction, or deletion of your Rogue Chat data by contacting us.
To request deletion, email support@roguechat.ai from the email address you use for support and include the WhatsApp phone number associated with your Rogue Chat account. We may ask for confirmation before deleting data to protect against unauthorized requests.
Children
Rogue Chat is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
